CAN I UPLOAD PICTURES OF MY HOME CONTENTS VIA MY SMARTPHONE? |
Yes - Access your plan via the www.myredfolder.com website (user name and password), and then select the corresponding area to upload the contents of your home. You can use your Smartphone or your personal computer to upload the pictures/contents of your home. |
CAN I ACCESS PORTIONS OF THE PLAN ON MY SMARTPHONE WHEN AN EMERGENCY OCCURS? |
Yes - EXAMPLE: All current medications a family member may be taking can be saved on your MYREDFOLDER® APP or by accessing your MYREDFOLDER® plan via the Web. In and out-of-town meeting locations can be accessed directly from your smartphone or mobile device via the MYREDFOLDER® APP or connecting directly to your MYREDFOLDER® Plan via the internet. |
IN THE EVENT OF THE DEATH OF A LOVED ONE, CAN THE USERNAME AND PASSWORDS BE UNLOCKED IF THE SURVIVING FAMILY MEMBER DOESN'T KNOW THE LOGIN INFORMATION? |
No – NEPTA does not have access to this information, therefore, it is absolutely critical that the surviving spouse and family members share login information to their MYREDFOLDER® plan and MYREDFOLDER® APP. The major benefit of having such a plan is that the surviving spouse or anyone so chosen can have access to the plan in the event of death. THIS IS EXTREMELY CRITICAL AS THE UNTIMELY DEATH OF A LOVED ONE IS RARELY PREPARED FOR |
HOW IMPORTANT IS COMPLETING THE INVENTORY PORTION OF THE PLAN? |
It is extremely important – even critical that you complete your inventory list with a subsequent picture and/or video upload as soon as possible. Without completing this portion of your plan the chances are severely lessened that you will be fully reimbursed for the total loss of the contents of your home – especially the expensive items or items that are deemed to be of a historic nature. Picture, for a moment, a person trying to collect on his/her insurance, and all they could do was to attempt to remember and place a value on each item they lost. Now picture a person who is able to provide a complete inventory list that is date stamped with replacement values along with pictures of everything that they can provide to the adjuster. Which one is going to collect payment quicker? Which one is going to collect more? We would advise you to watch the video of Mr. Clay Morrison on our home page, which will explain this to you. Clay is one of the most respected Independent Insurance Adjustors in the United States and he has a long and established reputation for helping people all over the U.S. |
I HAVE NEVER BEEN AFFECTED BY A DISASTER, WHY DO I NEED THIS PLAN? |
What one individual determines to be a disaster may not be a disaster to another, nevertheless, time and unforeseen occurrences befall everyone. Therefore, if we consider such questions as: What would happen if our spouse became victim to an untimely death? Where is every piece of documentation that I would need to recover and move on? What are the funeral wishes? Who are the Pallbearers? What would happen if while at work my house burned down? What is my next step in the recovery process? If my home were burglarized, how would I prove the loss of very expensive jewelry or other expensive items, including cash that may have been in a safe? If phone lines were down in an emergency situation how would I track my family’s whereabouts or how could I send them a message? If I couldn't get back home, do I know the dosage and prescription information of medicine a family member might be on? We could literally add 50 other questions that are outside of the realm of typical disasters but would have similar responses. IF MY CHILDREN HAVE A CELL PHONE CAN I SEE THEIR LOCATION VIA THE GPS TRACKING FEATURE WHENEVER I WANT TO? |
No. You can only view the GPS location of your family members (must have the MYREDFOLDER® ANDROID or IOS - APP) when the MYREDFOLDER® APP is activated on your smartphone or the "FYI Tracking" feature is activated by your children. NOTE: Whenever the MYREDFOLDER® APP is activated via your smartphone this will alert each selected member that the plan has been activated, based on the alert level it will send automatic instructions to each member. (All alert levels offer the ability to view the location of each member of the family as long as the alert was accepted by the member) |
MY GRANDMOTHER IS CURRENTLY PRESCRIBED SEVERAL MEDICATIONS; IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY IN WHICH IT IS UNSAFE TO RETURN HOME, HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH MEDICATIONS TO PURCHASE? |

Please Note: This section of your plan can be saved on your smart phone for ease of access. |
HOW IMPORANT IS A "GO-KIT"? |
The federal government predicts that the first 96 hours after a disaster that many disaster victims may be on their own. That means you will need safe water, food, and shelter. You will need enough for your entire family. A 'Go-Kit' can be very instrumental in getting you through these first 96 hours. You need to be practical and manage your situation. Depending on the severity of the situation you need to understand that the government is trying very hard to get help to you but it will take time. There has been a lot of negativity about the shortage of disaster aid and the time-lapse needed to get aid to the affected areas. You have a choice - fuss and complain about the government getting help to you as quickly as you visualized or you can take care of yourself and your family. If you decide to take care of yourself just remember - this is almost impossible without preplanning. Review the “Go Kit” section on our website and be sure that your “Go-Kit” will be enough for the entire family. We believe a Husband and Wife should have individual “Go-Kits” at work and at home. |
SOMETIMES DISASTERS CAN OCCUR WHEN KIDS ARE NOT AT SCHOOL OR AT HOME, HAS NEPTA TAKEN THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WITH THE MYREDFOLDER® APP and PLAN? |
Yes. We specifically designed the MYREDFOLDER® so that you can record “frequently visited places” in your plan so that you’ll have reference points of possible locations of your children after school or during weekends and holidays. We realized that this is not a 100% method of locating your children and that is why the MYREDFOLDER® Android or IOS APP is a critical component to compliment your MYREDFOLDER® plan. With this APP on your phone, you can locate the GPS coordinates of your children by activating the Emergency Plan. |
DOES NEPTA PROVIDE FREE REMINDERS? |
Yes. NEPTA will send out reminders to the email address that you provide at least twice a month. We want to ensure that everyone keeps their plan up to date with new purchases, additional family members being added, change of address, updated pictures, etc. In order for your MYREDFOLDER® Plan and App to be most effective, it is critical that it be updated regularly. |
WHAT IS NEPTA'S CANCELLATION POLICY? |
